    The reason I asked if this was an update from Windows 7 is that I have seen a couple of reports where an update from Windows 7 > Windows 8.1, or Windows 7 > Windows 10 left artifacts of the non-embedded version of Flash Player ActiveX that was used by IE in Windows 7. The embedded version of Flash Player doesn't prompt for updates, as all updates are released by Microsoft via Windows Updates (on the 2nd Tuesday of the month), as such, it's odd that you are being prompted to update it.
